A Friendly Voice is a free, confidential “warm line” for older adults aged 55 and above living in Ontario. It is not a crisis line. It’s a welcoming space where seniors can freely connect with a caring individual without expectations or judgment.
Whether you or someone you know is struggling with loneliness or simply looking to stay socially healthy and add some connection to your routine, A Friendly Voice lends an empathetic ear and delightful conversations.
Advanced Care Planning Ontario
Advance Care Planning Ontario is an initiative of Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO), a registered charity that strives for a future where every person in Ontario has access to quality hospice palliative care, including advance care planning.
The Advance Care Planning Ontario initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of advance care planning and provide people with the tools and information to begin their own advance care planning.

Canadian Dental Care Plan

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will help make the cost of dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents. An application must be submitted, and applications are only open to Canadian citizens aged 65 and older, or adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate.
Eligibility requirements include:
- You don’t have access to dental insurance
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
- You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- You filed your tax return for the previous year
Cancer Care Ontario
Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program
The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the areas of Waterloo Region, Wellington County and the southern portion of Grey County. The WWRCP aims to deliver timely care across the cancer care continuum (from prevention & screening to end of life care).

Health Connect Ontario
Run by the Government of Ontario, this is a free, secure confidential service that helps you get health advice from a registered nurse, find health services or get information – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You can find a doctor or health service, check your symptoms, get health advice, or search the medical library to learn more about medical terms and conditions.
Available in English and French, with translation support offered in other languages.

K-W Seniors Day program is a non-profit community day service dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and dignity for older adults in the community who live alone or with a care partner and who would benefit from a supportive day program service.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff have experience working with older adults who are socially isolated and may be experiencing frailty, physical challenges, cognitive impairment, memory loss and/or chronic conditions.

Meals on Wheels services operate in virtually every community in Ontario, delivering nutritious, delicious and affordable meals to a variety of groups, including seniors, people with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments, individuals suffering from illnesses and recovering from surgeries, and those who need special dietary planning and assistance.
Healthy eating provides essential energy and nutrients for general welfare, maintenance of health and functional autonomy, and reduces the risk for chronic diseases at older ages.

If you require health care or personal support in your home, need assistance getting back on track after a hospital stay, illness or injury, or if you have complex or chronic health conditions, they can help get you the OHIP funded care you need. Care Coordinators work with you to determine the right care and health supports.
These include: Care coordination, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Nutritional counselling, Speech therapy, Social work, Personal support, Medical supplies and equipment.
